Mr I Crabtree - Chair & Finance
For much of my life I have been involved in education, as a teacher overseas, in Japan and Saudi Arabia, and for the last 30 years in the UK as a teacher at Sherborne Boys School, St Benedicts – Glastonbury, St Andrews – Yetminster, East Coker Primary and finally as headteacher at Hambridge Community Primary School and CEO of the Levels Academy. I would hope to bring to the governing body a wide experience in educational settings and support the school with a passion for enabling children to ‘Be the Best they can Be’. As a keen sportsman, I would want the pupils of Pen Mill Academy to have a wealth of sporting opportunities and development in their time at the school and will always look to the children having as broad a curriculum as the school can afford. Taking time out of my career to run my own public house, I have an understanding of a business and finance and will support the school’s managers in ensuring that the school’s funds are used for the greatest value to the pupils |

Mrs M Gulliver - Vice Chair & Safeguarding
As a retired Pen Mill school teacher, I feel privileged to now be able to serve the school as a governor. Having taught music at Pen Mill for 14 years I feel I know the community very well. As a mother and grandmother, I have a good insight into the needs of children, and as an educator, with a particular interest in music, I feel I can bring an expanse of skills to the role. |

Mrs H Crawley - Teacher
Hello my name is Hannah Crawley, I am the SEN Governor at Pen Mill Infant and Nursery Academy. I have been the SEN Governor almost a year now. I am also a teacher at Pen Mill Infant and Nursery, I am currently working in Year 2. I have been teaching at Pen Mill Academy since February 2018. Before teaching at Pen Mill, I lived and worked in east London, teaching at a school in Leyton for 8 years. I was mainly teaching Early Years and Key Stage one but have experience of working Key stage 2 as well. I have plenty of experience of working with children with various SEN, and what is required to support these children on their journey through a mainstream school. I work closely with the current SENCo at Pen Mill and we meet regularly to discuss any SEN provision for the children I teach and also as my role as SEN governor, and the provision provided for the all the SEN children currently at Pen Mill Academy |

Mr S France - Parent
My daughter joined Pen Mill in September 2019 and I have been so impressed with the school’s commitment to provide the best education possible. When the opportunity came to join the governing body as a parent governor this academic year I was really keen to be able to support the school moving forward. I have almost 20 years experience working in education in various roles with a specialism in Special Education Needs. Through my various roles I have developed and implemented new curricula, managed budgets, trained and developed teaching and support staff, observed staff in a range of curriculum areas at a variety of levels and have supported numerous students to successfully transition between educational institutions. In my current role I am an Assistant Headteacher at a local Special School. I look forward to sharing my experience with the school. |
